RANGE DESCRIPTION
This species was originally described from the type locality of "Hong-Kong", China. The type specimens are believed to have been lost and a neotype (the holotype of Rana gracilis; Wiegmann, 1834) from Kap Shui Mun, Lantau Island, Hong Kong, China, was designated by Dubois and Ohler (2000).
